The lower ones are variations of my favorite idea. There would be a bull skull or skeleton lying on the ground, being viewed from above. There is a coyote exploring the remains in a few of them. I am trying to keep things on the simple side due to the timeframe.

  1. Cool ideas. Are these for a Colter Wall song or album? I'm listening to him right now. That voice! He sounds a lot older than he looks. Animal bones seem relevant. A coffin might be overkill. :)

Simple is good for this project, just remember to make an interesting composition with movement. So think about cropping and staging the visual devices to create a dramatic or otherwise interesting visual journey. As soon as you hone in on those, I would do some quick value studies (thumbnail), to figure out your main lights, darks, and midtowns.

  2. I'm with Justin, the coffin would be overkill. Depending on the song, a bull skull could be a really interesting visual. It honestly reminds me of Georgia O'Keefe, she had a really rhythmic way of painting animal skulls that you could potentially imitate to your advantage.
